The Power of Silence – Hike from the Church to the Monastery in UNSER FRAU
The pilgrimage church of Unser Frau majestically overlooks the valley from its rocky hilltop. It is the starting point for a hike along the Via Monachorum, passing the ancient Schnals larch tree, waterfalls and mountain springs, all the way to the former Carthusian monastery of Allerengelberg in Karthaus.
And what awaits you there? Silence – and a journey back in time.

Summer Guided Tour of the Former Carthusian Monastery Allerengelberg in KARTHAUS
From 1326 to 1782, the Carthusian monastery Allerengelberg was located in Karthaus. It was dissolved under Emperor Joseph II, but the spirit of the monks still lives on in the cloister. During the guided tour, participants will discover the monastery’s art-historical and architectural highlights and learn more about the lifestyle and daily work of the Carthusian monks.

Exploring the Apple Orchards – Apple Tour at Moarhof in KASTELBELL-TSCHARS
Together with our apple ambassador and apple sommelier Maria, we invite you to an exciting tour through the apple orchards. Maria will explain in an engaging way the journey of the apple from blossom to harvest and the various stages of cultivation involved.
The experience is rounded off with a tasting of the most popular South Tyrolean apple varieties. There is also the opportunity to purchase farm-made products.
Please bring: sturdy footwear and rain or sun protection.

To the Oldest Alpine Pasture in the Tyrolean Region – Moar Alm (2,095 m above sea level) in KATHARINABERG
Enjoy a breathtaking and unique view from the oldest alpine pasture in the Tyrolean region, overlooking the Lower Vinschgau Valley and the entrance to the Schnals Valley.
The hike starts above Katharinaberg at the parking area near Schroflhof (1,708 m above sea level). From here, follow trail no. 9 towards Moar Alm. After a pleasant two-hour ascent, you will have conquered around 400 metres in altitude and reach the Moar Alm. After a well-deserved break, the route continues via Hühnerspielhof back towards Katharinaberg.

Traditional Bread Baking in LATSCH
Under the expert guidance of a local farmer, you will learn how bread has always been baked at the Niederwieshof farm. Traditional Vinschgau “Paarl” bread, Struzen and other traditional as well as modern bread recipes are prepared together, kneaded and baked in a wood-fired oven.
The afternoon ends with a tasting session, making this an enjoyable and memorable experience.
