The highest located village in Val Senales: Maso Corto
If you drive all the way to the end of the valley in Val Senales, you get to the small village Maso Corto, which awaits you with a stunning view of the imposing mountain scenery of several mountains of 3000 m of altitude. Maso Corto, located at 2011 m above sea level, is known far beyond the borders, mainly due to its glacier ski resort. The cable car valley station is located directly in the village centre, only a few steps from Piccolo Hotel Gurschler. It transports winter guests up to an altitude of 3200 metres. Alpinism and ski tourism in this area dates back to the end of the 19th century. Today, in addition to thousands of skiers in winter and hikers in summer, national sports teams also come to Maso Corto for their high-altitude training. Even though the village is small and idyllic, you'll still find everything you'd expect from a wonderful vacation: shops, restaurants, museums, events, discos and pubs, ski schools and ski rental, and even an Olympic indoor pool.
