A paradise for hikers
Val Senales is located in the Tessa Mountain Group Nature Park at the bottom of the glacier and of several mountains of 3000 metres of altitude. So what could be more obvious than discovering this natural paradise on foot? About 300 km of marked hiking trails attract hikers and mountaineers to Val Senales, where they can decide between a rather comfortable hiking tour or an imposing summit tour. Archaeological hiking trails and nature and cultural hikes inform you about the early history of the valley, its flora, fauna and culture. The Ötzi Glacier Tour leading to the finding place of the Ice mummy Ötzi on Tisa Pass (3210 m), and the Glacier Tour leading past glacier bridges and moraines into a 50 m deep ice cave, are very special experiences. The very brave even try abseiling into a glacier crevasse.
